“Destination Coach goes beyond Coaching”
This quotation from one of our Destination Coach participants last year, emphasises the power of what you learn on Destination Coach. We do believe it goes beyond what many people currently consider as coaching – and we believe that’s worthy of recognition and celebration. So, that’s one of the reasons we offer you the opportunity to further develop your capacity for Inspirational Coaching by embarking on the Path to Mastery.
When you complete the first Destination Coach workshop you have the option to gain certification from either the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, or the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. Both universities have partnered with us to offer certification that recognises your learning from Destination Coach, your commitment to practicing your coaching skills, and the difference you will make in the lives and work of others as you do so. This pathway requires a six month commitment, during which time you will see a powerful deepening of your coaching skills. Full details, along with fees, can be obtained by contacting us.
Beyond this level of recognition, we looked long and hard to find a further level of certification that really reflected the philosophies, principles and distinctions of coaching as we learn them on Destination Coach. We found it in the Coaching Masteries developed by the International Association of Coaching (IAC).
In 2010 we will be running our first Path to Mastery. This will include:
- a specialised version of the Destination Coach Sequel incorporating the IAC Masteries – to be run in Canmore in May 2010
- a series of ten mentored teleclasses running June through September 2010 where you will coach, be coached and receive specific feedback and guidance on developing your coaching skills to the level of IAC mastery
- two individualised assessments to establish your specific focus areas for learning and development of your skills in line with the IAC masteries
- guidance on applying for IAC Certification when you feel ready to do so
We are licensed to incorporate the IAC Masteries into our workshops. We are not an awarding or certifying body. The IAC is an independent examining body and successful certification depends entirely on you demonstrating the required level of mastery in your own coaching. Our commitment is to help you get ready as best you can for this level of Mastery Certification.
It’s a rigorous, fulfilling and enlightening path of learning. If you appreciate the power of inspirational coaching offered in the foundational learning you do on Destination Coach – be prepared to deepen this by combining rigorous skills practice with the true wisdom of inspirational coaching and reach true mastery. We love it and are thrilled to be able to share this learning with you in 2010.
