I am thankful to live my Inspired Future every day!

Living in the midst of the beautiful Canadian Rockies in Canmore, Alberta, my days are a simple blend of my passions: I work flexibly with select clients – people who inspire me and who in turn inspire their world and the people around them; I ski in the winter and walk in the summer in one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the world; I have a home I love; a husband who loves me; two beautiful boxer puppies,  Zach and Cody, who make sure I get exercise and fresh air every day. I live with a philosophy of abundance – trusting in myself, in people around me and in a greater force that provides me with exactly what I need when I need it. I live this life because for many years it was my vision to live here in the Rockies. I chose it. It came true for me.

Our name “Inspired Future” is deliberate – inspired is in the past tense and future speaks for itself. This is where the past and the future come together and where people can choose to live in them both at the same time, to realise that whatever they want, need and yearn for is already available to them. It is my passion that my work as a coach and facilitator equips people to realise this and to live their Inspired Future every day.

I coach to inspire people to go outside the box that they assume is prescribed for them, to generate their own ideas, to find the courage to take the next step and make their ideas come alive. That’s what it means to me to inspire the future. There is so much in this. It doesn’t always have to be the next greatest thing that’s being coached. Yet each person has another future waiting for them – when I coach it becomes clear that they don’t have to be limited by what they assume is their “box”. In my coaching, I’m reshaping the box with my client all the time. Pushing the edges just a little bit here and there. Sometimes making a new shape altogether. Whatever the shape, it’s about seeing that its you, the client, who makes your own box, circle, triangle, diamond – whatever space you choose to create for yourself.

My past has been inspired by the challenges, learning and growth I’ve done throughout my career, culminating in 10 years of creating with the most inspired and inspiring team of colleagues I could have dreamed of, in IC International.  Our purpose was to live the lives we really wanted and, in turn, to inspire others to do the same. I know there are many people out there who, even for a moment, saw new possibilities, opportunities and options for their own lives and some who chose to follow their hearts and step into new changes, because we helped them to unlock their inspiration.

My future is guided by the things I cherish most: simplicity, being in flow, being recognised for who I am, joy, wealth in all its senses, wisdom, love, simplicity, listening and feeling heard, trust, peace, intimacy – oh and indulgence (mostly in chocolate).

Yes, there’s more I’d like to do (and have): I’d like to write more, even work in a bookshop; I’d like to volunteer more and make a meaningful contribution to some other part of society; I’d like to potter more in the garden; to spend more time by the ocean; to teach and to spend more time learning from and with my nieces and nephews; I’d like to inspire new generations of leaders who will do things differently; I’d like to do more yoga and really immerse myself in its wisdom; I’d like to bring new learning into the world; I’d like to keep clearing space in my life for new stuff to come in – and yes I’d still like to meet Bono!

And, I realise, I can do any of those things anytime I choose to. All I have to do is remember that it’s not about constantly seeking or waiting for someone else to make them happen. It’s about believing that moment by moment, day by day, I choose to live my Inspired Future now!
